Issues of education of children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds

The bachelor´s thesis entitled The issue of education of children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds is focused on methods and forms of work, including alternative approaches in teaching, which teachers use in the education of children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with support measures aimed at mitigating the impact of social disadvantage of children in their edukation, because they are not successful in them, which results in their early departure from the education systém, and this eventually brings them problems both in professional life as well as in personal life and ultimately, this fact of life society, politics and, consequently, of the state´s economy. The purpose of the practical part was based on qualitative research, data collection interviews with selected teachers to get an overview of the methods and approaches used in the education of socially disadvantaged students in the current full-time teaching and then in connection with coronavirus epidemic measures in distance learning. Another goal was to find out what problems pedagogical workers face in integrating socially disadvantaged children into the mainstream of education, ie. "Regular" primary schools. Based on interviews conducted by informants teaching in primary schools according to their experience and observations, the practical part presents the educational opportunities that these children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds have and at the same time outlines there is a solution to their educational inequalitie.
Growing up in dysfunctional family

The diploma's thesis focuses on the topic of growing up in dysfunctional families with a focus on aggressive and auto-aggressive behavior. The thesis' aim is to describe the dysfunctional family and problem behavior based on professional sources and then to find out the impact of growing up in a dysfunctional family on an individual's life (especially in the area of problem behavior) with the help of research. The thesis introduces the basic concepts related to the family and the dysfunctional family, mentions the functions and types of the family, the importance of the development of the attachment and further defines problem behavior. The practical part focuses on the description of growing up in a dysfunctional family by individual respondents. In the practical part, qualitative research is used. A semi-structured interview is used for data collection. The data is processed using the thematic coding method.
A child in a dysfunctional family environment

This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the functions of the family and their disorders with respect to the child in the first chapter. The second chapter describes the dysfunctional family. The third part shows the inappropriate effects of such families on the development of the child's personality and his primary socialization. The aim of the practical part is to show through case studies examples of possible effects of mental deprivation in childhood experienced in one's own family on parental and partner role in adulthood.
Values, interests and perspective of children from children's home

1 Summary Children come into the establishment for institutional education from families that did not fulfill their function or did not meet the basic needs of the child. The parents of these children often perpetrated criminal acts, were under the influence of alcohol, neglected the children or in some cases even mistreated or abused them. The family was for these children often a negative image. The children spent part of their lives in a non-stimulating environment. These families influenced the personality of the child in a extremely negative way. Children from children's homes show handicaps already at a biological level. These children tend to have lower body measurements values, they suffer from different health handicaps, psychiatric disorders, their mental capacities are under average, they have attention disorders, heightened affectivity, heightened aggressiveness, etc. Children come into children's homes from dysfunctional families usually in their later school days, consequently, the family has had great influence during their early childhood and in some cases also during school age or adolescence. DUBOVÁ, T. Rehabilitation of family drug addicted parents. Key words: Abstinence - oriented treatment, Dependance syndrome, Dysfunctional family, Rehabilitation of family, Resocialization, Withdrawal syndrome This thesis addresses the issue of drug addiction and parenting. It focuses on society's view on drug addicted parents and briefly defines the concept of addiction. The core work is the rehabilitation of these families and its various forms. It describes the role of professional institutions that deal with protecting the interests of the child and work with drug addicted parents and contributes to the rehabilitation of the family. The work also includes specific aspects of women's drug addiction and the consequences of substance use during pregnancy on the child. At the end of the theoretical chapter is devoted to professional institutions and their programs to work with the family. The practical part of this thesis includes three case studies that describe families of drug addicted parents and the way their efforts to restore or maintain the family.
A dysfunctional family education and its effects on the quality of partnership

This thesis is concerned with education in dysfunctional families and its impact on relationships. In the introductory part defines technical terms such as family, education and relationships, deal with the theories associated with these phenomena. In the practical part of the three case studies illustrate how the dysfunctional family upbringing affects the young man look at partnerships and expectations of the relationship.
Social disadvantage of children and the young at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

This diploma thesis focuses on clients of the Department of child and adolescent psychiatry who are hospitalized because of their behaviour and adaptation disorder. A significant sign of these children is their problematic behaviour and maladaptation resulting from their social handicap which has several forms. The environment of psychiatry centre adjusts different social measures and educational patterns and needs. The theoretic part describes the term of a socially disadvantaged child, moreover, it states the function of a family, relations and educational styles as a base of primal socialisation, as a headstone of their activity in society. The practical part of the thesis describes seven case studies about individual clients of the centre and their activity in this specific environment. The main goal of the investigation was to prove that the psyche of the school aged children is influenced by their social handicap which results in their bad self- control mechanisms, low self-evaluation, and also in their behaviour disorders. A Romany chilďs out-of-biological family placement

The bachelor thesis focuses on the location of a Roma child outside the biological family. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the definition of family as a concept, family function, family typology, dysfunctional family and its types. It is followed by a description of the history and culture of the Roma. The practical part contains an analysis of statistical data on the removal of children from Roma families and controlled interviews with the staff of the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The aim is to map, analyze and describe the most common reasons that in the Czech Republic lead to the placement of a Roma child outside the biological family and compare these reasons with the analogous situations of families in the majority society.
The path to restoring broken family functions through remediation

This theses deals with the subject of family from the perspective of her malfunction, when the family is offered help and support through the redevelopment of the family. The first part characterizes the family as a whole, deals with the family and types of families according to functionality. Here is introduced to a dysfunctional family, in which endangered a child or where may cause danger. Furthermore, here is closer specified vulnerable child in the family. Here is presented and characterized methods to help family redevelopment. In the conclusion of the work is given a concrete example of cooperation of the authority of socio-legal protection of children and the nono-profit organization that is rehabilitating the family deals with. An example of a family is indicated through case histories in the cooperation of all involved in the assistance to the family.
Art therapy group for children in challenging standards of living

This bachelor's thesis discusses the theme of the art therapy group for children, which has been taking place in the non-state nonprofit organization for seven months. It is focused mainly on the artworks of children who grow up in a challenging family environment. The main focus is on the non-standart expressions of their artwork and also on their artwork expression development itself during the artgroup therapy attendance. The theoretical part offers an essential knowledge about these areas, based on resources from Czech special literature and foreign experts studies. The practical part is interested in an analysis of the art therapy group, with focused on positive and negative factors, which can influence the group process. There are presented two study cases of children, which were members of the group. Is presented their personal and family anamnesis, their place in the group together with their artworks. Each artwork has a detailed description of its development and it is also describing the manner of the work with each artefact in group session. According to the goals set of this thesis were detected non-standart expressions of children artworks which are growing up in a challenging standards of living. Changes in childrens artworks weren´t catchable. The causes and limits of this conclusion are finally summarized in the discussion.
